After presenting contemporary approaches that conceptualize solidarity, sometimes as a sense of belonging and sometimes as an emotional bond and moral orientation that motivates individuals to action, it attempts to answer the following questions: What is solidarity and what are its dimensions or forms? What are the conditions for the emergence of different forms of solidarity and through what processes are bonds of reciprocity produced? What is the scope of solidarity? Who is included and\/or excluded from bonds of solidarity? At the same time, the course focuses on the organizational principles, institutional arrangements, mode of operation and practices of modern ventures in the sphere of the social and solidarity economy.
