The aim of the course is to provide postgraduate students with theoretical insight into the field of sociological approaches that have been formulated regarding "crime" and its treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) Theoretical approaches to crime: sociological positivism - Cartographic School and Chicago School.
(c) Modern positivist approaches to crime.
(d) Victimological approach.
(e) "New" Criminology: A critical approach to crime.
(f) Anti-crime policy models. Anti-crime policy in modern Greece.
(g) "Criticism of anti-crime policy and new proposals: The emphasis on effectiveness and zero tolerance.".
