The seminar examines the transformations in the structure of Greek society in the period from the beginning of the capitalist economic crisis of 2008/2009 to the present. Through theoretically informed empirical research, it delves into the impact of the crisis on the working class and explores the limits of the resilience of certain segments of the middle class against adverse economic impacts. At the same time, it focuses on the expansion of precarious employment positions (part-time employment, casual employment, intermittent, undeclared work, etc.), as a result of the economic recession and the implementation of medium-term fiscal strategy frameworks (Memoranda). It highlights the formation of new collectives in the Greek social formation, such as the precariat and the working poor, and explores the content of their demands.
