The course is a continuation of the course Social Statistics. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic directions of quantitative research in the social sciences. Therefore, students will become familiar with special issues of sampling and sample size, types of variables, descriptive and inferential statistics techniques as well as their application through the statistical software SPSS. The statistical analyses presented are, among others, probability sampling techniques, t-test, correlation analysis and categorical data analysis. The objectives of the course also include the use of the NVivo 10 software program, which is a very useful assistant for the researcher in organizing and processing qualitative data.
