Dear PhD candidates,
We inform you of the following:

1. Doctoral Candidates' Day:
   The presentation day of the Doctoral Candidates of the Department of Sociology for the
   academic year 2025-2026 will be held in person on June 24 and 25, 2026, in Mytilene.
2. Submitting a Progress Report:
   The deadline for submitting the annual progress report is set until May 15, 2026.
3. Mandatory Participation in the Workshop:
   According to article 13 of the Study Regulations of the Doctoral Studies Program (Government Gazette 1716/08.04.2025, vol. B), the following applies: Absence, for two (2) consecutive years, from the Doctoral Candidates' Conference organized by the Department, where an oral presentation of the progress of doctoral theses is held, constitutes a reason for the dismissal of the doctoral candidates.
4. 10th Conference of the Hellenic Sociological Association (HSA):
   We also inform you that from June 26 to 28, 2026, the 10th Conference of the Hellenic Sociological Association (HSA) will be held in Mytilene, which is co-organized by:

• the Hellenic Sociological Association (ESA),
• the Department of Sociology of the School of Social Sciences of the University of the Aegean, and
• the National Center for Social Research (EKKE).
