Introduction to Marxist Philosophy

The course analyzes the evolution of the philosophical thought of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, as well as key positions within Marxism (Rosa Luxemburg, Lenin's philosophical thought, the work of Lukács, Gramsci, and Althusser), with the aim of familiarizing students with the basic questions of this particular movement, clarifying concepts that shaped later discussions, and the correlation between Marxist pursuits and other movements in the history of philosophy.
