The content of the postgraduate thesis must be of a research nature and be original. The choice of the topic of the thesis, the course of implementation and the method of evaluation are based on the provisions of the study regulations. The thesis is implemented in accordance with the rules for writing scientific papers and the code of ethics and conduct of research. Basic implementation stages:
• Formulation of a research problem and description of the specialization topic under study.
• Critical review of the relevant literature.
• Development of methodological design including the formulation of the purpose of the research and the problem, the listing of research questions, the time duration (work schedule), the methodological choices (research strategy, conceptualization method, sampling methods, data collection/production, data analysis strategy).
• Implementation of social research and data analysis.
• Recording and interpreting conclusions.
• Writing the text of the thesis.
• Public support of the Thesis before a three-member evaluation committee.
For the preparation of the thesis, the use of the ARA referencing and reporting system is foreseen, as an alternative to the Harvard system. A mandatory internship is foreseen in public and private services and structures related to the management of migration or refugee issues in Greece or abroad.
